I wake up feeling so blessed. With the Lord by my side, there is no need to be stressed. This past week, I have accomplished so much, completing a copious amount of preparation based assignments for final exams. As all of the school work pile up these last few weeks with professors assigning multiple projects while the honor’s project is being formulated and crafted into a presentation, I use my free time as moments to focus on and positivity within my life. I occupy myself with all of the assignments in the day as I prepare myself for a break and venture out for a quick cup of coffee accompanied by a nice stroll through some shopping centers and, of course, a night drive home with the windows down and the music blasting. From this, I have learned that “Some days you have to create your own sunshine.” It is so easy to get caught up in the worries of life, whether it be an abundant amount of school work or not knowing how you will get through the troubling moments which ultimately leads to moments of confusion.
“For God is not a God of confusion but of peace.” Corinthians 14:33
As a result, I focus on remaining joyous as I am lead on my carefully constructed journey.
“I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.” Psalm 27:13
I calm myself with a prayer and the reassurance the “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” Philippians 4:13. While I may contemplate decisions, such as the pace in which I will complete my classes, on an hourly, more like momentarily basis, I continue to be surprised with the dedication, passion, and motivation the Lord has placed within my heart.
“You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.” Psalm 128:2
I’ve learned the necessity of peace and, while I still struggle with worry, I am blessed to constantly be reminded of God’s love and mercy as I tackle several tasks and reassure my abilities when I am uncertain on the pace in which I decide to progress through personal obligations. I have come to acknowledge that God will place excitement in the midst of your hard work, He will provide a way for you to accomplish your goals and to be at peace with the pace that you progress through and the unique, individualized purpose that the Lord has for you.
So go where the Lord guides you. Take the time to pray for guidance, and constantly seek out the good in life. For the Lord will constantly provide blessings. Your path may be windier, or maybe you’ll take the longer route but I know that through it all, there will be comfort in knowing that God is in charge and will lead you to an amazing future. Best of luck as you pursue your goals and dreams because one thing I know is that it is important to “Be strong and courageous, [to] not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6
No matter what your heart tells you in the midst of a journey not always understood, the Lord will lead you to where you are meant to be. 🙏
