New Path, Same Purpose: Part Two

© When I struggle with disappointment, I tend to become engulfed in figuring out the why’s and the tiny details behind misfortunes. I am acknowledging the constant change one goes through that allows for one to look within and see where there need to change; I honestly believe that the moments when you are trying to understand others to you are ultimately being lead to a deeper understanding of oneself. You start to fathom the situations that could have occurred differently on your side of the equation; you can take these references as a stepping stone towards self-love and a greater reliance on trusting God’s purpose for you.

The emotions you feel are validated, and the confusion is too, but there is comfort in knowing that one can take this uncertainty as a basis to trust God and they can use their self-acknowledgement to alter future situations. So, next time you are feeling mind boggled, and your heart is contradicting your mind, take a moment to engage in those emotions and strengthen your inner-being. Use these moments to center in on what comforts you; as a matter of fact, if you notice that you are lead to worldly possessions, use this realization to adjust to new thoughts. Find a passion that emphasizes a sense of purpose within you,

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3

Writing has allowed me to write my emotions onto paper while painters turn to their easels and musicians turn to their mike. As a whole, the passions placed in your heart by the Lord will guide you to something greater than yourself. He will put a distraction that may end up being life changing for not only you but for others who will be blessed by your presence.

“The question is not what we intended ourselves to be, but what He intended us to be when He made us. He is the inventor, we are the machine. He is the painter, we are only the picture.” C.S Lewis

The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.  Proverbs 16:9
