“Wherever you are planted, bloom with grace” 💐

© Some days it’s raining, and you feel the raindrops fall down your cheeks; you dream of a peace buried deep within your heart.

It is said that “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”  ~ Psalms 34:18

The mustard seed faith is buried in the cracks of a broken heart allowing for nurture to result in a flower garden full of roses, tulips, and carnations.

He said, therefore, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? It is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his garden, and it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air made nests in its branches.” ~ Luke 13:18-19

The simplest things can take a toll on an ever-longing heart as one yearns for clarity long after the greenhouse doors have shut. In fact, it is the moments of self-contradiction where you learn where there needs to be watering, thus where there needs to be growth. I was speaking with a friend this week who talked about the natural evolution of nature’s environmental changes. When watching the process of a flower growing from underneath and the uprooting, you see that struggle can result in beauty and a delicate sweetness that eludes love and positivity. The flower that grows in the crack on the sidewalk presents itself with such ease. Humans need to acknowledge this reality. There is no reason to undermine the importance of struggle; in fact, it is entirely necessary for growth. When your heart is yearning, it cries out for a heightened perception of love which grows through the dark times in the hope of reaching the sunlight.

Let the Lord be your sunlight and let the struggles emphasize the blessings within your life. Keep the nutrients, the sunsets, the hikes, and the friendships, close to your hearts and let the flowers grow from these moments of nourishment. For one day, you too will radiate peace and love, and there will be no room for uncertainty within the struggles of your thirsting heart. You will have completed this area of growth and will move onto the next chapter. These moments of affliction shall pass, but personal growth will fertilize the world with an impacting message. Growth, a form of healing,  is a process unique to the particular seed. Listen to your seed; in other words, listen to your broken heart and let the light shine through the broken cracks. Take time to love yourself and don’t apologize for the length of time it takes your heart to heal. Illuminate love.

“We ought always to give thanks to God for you, brethren, as is only fitting, because your faith is greatly enlarged, and the love of each one of you toward one another grows ever greater.” ~ 2 Thessalonians 1:3
