Calmness in the Storm

They say emotions come in waves. Sometimes they rush in with no warning and, shortly after, escape back into the sea for a quick bit as you become engulfed in daily distraction. At this time, the Moon’s gravity can be equated to God’s love as He is pulling us towards Him. Just like the moon, He may feel far away at this time but His force is strong enough to calm fears and loud enough to cease destruction; both internally and externally.

He calmed the storm and its waves quieted down. So they rejoiced that the waves became quiet, and he led them to their desired haven.” ~ Psalm 107:29-30

By viewing this pandemic as an opportunity for connectivity, it enables everyone to grow stronger as a society. I see so many people heightening this sense of fear and posting judgemental statements regarding their lack of respect for others who they see as not fully participating in social distancing. Instead, let’s focus on the positive actions that everyone is taking, using this moment as a chance to practice love, acceptance, and non-judgment. Focus on eating healthy, immune-boosting foods, reaching out to others who may be struggling at this time for a multitude of personal and collective reasons, and staying away from large groups. Everyone is coping in unique and different ways, but looking down upon people for handling the situation differently does nothing but heighten the negativity that it is already manifesting itself in widespread panic and fear.

“Sometimes God calms the storm. Sometimes He lets the storm rage and calms His child.”

Share positive information on how to prevent further spreading of this or something totally irrelevant that will bring a smile to those who are struggling with the adaptations occurring as a result of societal changes.
