Valentine’s Day Treat

Let us spread some love in honor of Valentine’s Day 😉 I think a day to embody love is a tOATally awesome reminder to carry affection towards each and every day of our lives. We can express love for so many components of our daily endeavors. One of the activities I hold close to my heart is baking/cooking. When I engage in this activity, my soul feels light regardless of what is going on in my life. Valentine’s Day is not just for romantic love. It is for the things that warm our hearts. It is the match that sparks a fire within our souls. It is a time to express gratitude for the gift of being alive. I encourage you to spend Valentine’s Day focusing on the things in your life that soften your heart. Here is a recipe for you in case baking is an experience that puts you in a state of peace.

Ingredients:

1 banana

1/2 cup oats

150 ml / 5 oz milk

3 tsp. chia seeds

2/3 cups bluebs

Add toppings of choice (coconut flakes, greek yogurt and @mollasity pomegranate molasses syrup)

Recipe:

Coat the bottom with coconut oil to avoid sticking! The bottom layer will be the banana. Then, add oats, milk, blueberries, and chia seeds and bake at 350 Fahrenheit for 25 minutes. Place toppings once it is out of the oven. I chose to top mine with coconut flakes, greek yogurt, and @mollasity pomegranate molasses syrup for a special syrup made from 100% organic pomegranates.
