Mindful Monday: Overcoming Fears Part One

Happy MINDFUL MONDAY focusing on how to overcome fears. 🧠

Fear is a powerful emotion but I am a firm believer that we can overcome fears. I have been doing Mindful Monday Journal Prompts on another platform of mine for a while. I wanted to bring this weekly focus to my blog. The goal of these weekly prompts is to create greater self-awareness and encourage people to self-reflect to determine what habits align with you and which habits no longer serve you. Furthermore, giving you the motivation to create small shifts without becoming overwhelmed. I am extremely passionate about helping people live with optimal wellness. I believe habits and rituals are essential for improving one’s overall well-being. By focusing on your mental health, you create the foundation to engage in positive habits and rituals.

This week the focus is on overcoming fears.

“Feel the fear and do it anyway”

Healing is a series of learning and unlearning. Naming different anxieties allows you to start understanding what shifts you can make to release and shift these beliefs into something powerful. By defining your fear, you become aware of what triggers your anxiety and create the space to unlearn past narratives that no longer serve you.

These questions will help you determine what step to take as you embark on a mission to overcome fears. Specifically, this allows you to choose what fears are most prevalent for you at this moment.

Journal Prompts: Overcome Fears

  1. What is something makes you anxious
  2. What changes can you make to create a more positive mindset around this belief?
  3. What do you think this fear stems from?

Yes, it is so powerful to face own’s emotion. I have been working on this by sitting with my emotions instead of running to distraction which is so easily found nowadays.

I was listening to a sermon that talked about how fear made slaves of us all to varying extents. But the one best way to freedom was looking up. I’m trying to do this way more. Too often I’ve ran away from fear. It’s not easy but I am forcing myself to not run now and follow the light of hope. ❤️

Fear is something that I’ve been facing lately. Panic attacks and the fear of getting them is overwhelming. But God is in me and I can overcome yet it feels like such a personal weakness.
