Happy #MindfulMonday. This week we focus on emotional rest.

Over the last few weeks, I’ve been focusing on the seven different forms of rest. When you think of rest? What do you imagine? Typically, most people think of sleep but it’s so much more than that. Check out the links below to learn more.

Emotional Rest

Have you heard of the saying “fill up your cup?” While I am a firm believer in being of service to others, one must create space to fill their own cp before pouring into others. In doing so, you actually become more beneficial to those in need of your time. When you experience fatigue, you can become overwhelmed by everyday events. They become difficult which can result in isolation, overthinking, and increased anxiety. When this happens, it is important to redirect our daily habits to nourish our emotional well-being. This allows us to refill our cup.  

Ask yourself these questions to determine how you can achieve mental rest.

  2. What activities provide you with emotional freedom?
  3. When do you feel most present and free of overwhelming thoughts?
  4. How can you incorporate these activities into your life?
