New Year: Mindful Monday Journal Prompts

As we enter a new year, I am using new year journal prompts to create small shifts. These journal prompts allow me to create small shifts. I plan to create small shifts to optimize my well-being. I spent the last month reflecting on my current situation compared to January of last year. A new place, surrounded by people I hadn’t met and distanced from certain situations that had been with me years prior. By focusing on small goals, I have been able to make many micro changes over the course of the past 12 months. While I did not realize how many shifts occurred, I know they all started small.

How I Incorporated Small Shifts

I got clear on my values which impact my intentions and set the foundation for my priorities. At the beginning of the year, my two words were PRIORITIZE and FOCUS. (Last week, I touched on this topic. You can read more about that here). I had many goals, but I managed to prioritize what was most important to me even when my mind contradicted my intuition. I sprinkled this word into many facets of my life to make progress in areas that needed my attention, which resulted in a major shift.

A major shift has been in the way I perceive my eating habits. For example, I used to eat potato chips with hummus all of the time. I found a vegetable that I liked (celery/carrots) to replace the potato chips and noticed that this small adjustment impacted my energy levels. I also released judgement for the times when I did choose to eat foods that were not as “healthy” because I knew I was establishing micro-shifts that were positive for my overall health.

Conclusion

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey. I truly believe there is no such thing as a coincidence; only divine synchronicities. Sending so much love to each and every one of you.
